The recent news report says that the Public Policy Head of Meta, Rajiv Aggrawal, quit Meta and he is all set to join Samsung Electronics Co.’s local unit. He might be starting his new journey with Samsung in December 2022, however, there is no official announcement from Samsung yet.
His role at Samsung will be similar to Meta, he will be liaising with the government official for a domestic policy matter.
WhatsApp India head, Abhijit Bose also left the company and just a week ago Meta announced that they are reducing the team by 13% laying off more than 11,000 employees.
In the Meta post on 9th November, Mr. Zuckerberg said that he is taking accountability for these decisions
Mr. Zuckerberg also said that Meta will be paying “16 weeks of base pay plus two additional weeks for every year of service, with no cap” to the employees laid off.
